Seghesio Family Vineyards

2013 Monte Rosso Zinfandel
2013 Monte Rosso Zinfandel
Heritage Grower Series

Planted in the 1880s, Monte Rosso — Italian for “red mountain" is rooted in the iron-rich, volcanic soils of the Mayacamas Mountains 1,000 feet above Sonoma Valley on the western facing ridgeline. Atop the ridge, there is a constant breeze that often whips into a strong wind, accentuating the cool climate of Sonoma Valley. This venerable site’s head-pruned vines are renowned for their intensely flavored, complex Zinfandel.
