Seghesio Family Vineyards

2019 Arneis
2019 Arneis

Arneis originates from the hills of Roero, northwest of Alba in the Piedmont region of Italy from where Edoardo Seghesio emigrated. Arneis translates to “little rascal,” due to its thin skinned berries and tightly formed cluster anatomy. This delicate nature brings challenges in the vineyard. Today, we farm three separate blocks at our Keyhole Ranch, where the cool, marine influenced climate produces highly expressive Arneis.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Delicate aromas of nectarine, honeydew melon and white tea mark the nose of this always fragrant wine. On the palate, the wine has a rich and full texture while remaining bright and vibrant with notes of stone fruit and a lingering, fresh finish.
Food Pairing Notes
This is a delightful wine to pair with sushi, risotto, fruit-accented salad, and spicy Thai or Indian cuisines.

Our Keyhole Ranch estate vineyard in Russian River Valley is home to our white Italian varietals. This vineyard’s microclimate is tempered by cool coastal breezes and frequent summer morning fog. The soils are composed of gravel and clay loams.
