This distinctive blend is tribute to the history and strength of the Seghesio Family. At the winery’s centennial celebration in 1995, wine industry icon Mario Perelli-Minetti toasted founding matriarch, Angela Seghesio, and the “defiant” attitude with which she faced the industry’s challenges. With the Seghesio family’s conviction and determination, the winery survived prohibition and has been making wine continuously since 1895.

2015 Marian's Reserve

In 1975, Ed Seghesio co-fermented an equal blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Carignane for his own consumption. When the Seghesio family released the first wines under their name in 1983, Ed’s blend was bottled and released in honor of his beloved wife, Fay Marian. It was at Fay’s urging that their son Ted became the family’s fourth-generation winemaker. To showcase the varietal characteristics of these remarkable old vines while honoring his mother, Ted began producing Marian’s Reserve again in 2004.

2013 San Lorenzo Estate

In 1896, when Rachel Ann Passalacqua’s grandfather purchased the San Lorenzo vineyard in southernmost Alexander Valley for the sum of ten gold coins, it was already planted to and producing a Zinfandel field blend. Over half century later, Rachel Ann would meet Eugene “Pete” Seghesio when he purchased grapes from her father. The couple married in 1956, and San Lorenzo became part of Seghesio. Today, Seghesio Farms manages that same vineyard, one of the oldest grape-growing sites in Sonoma County.
